Self-Expression

Nowhere is a place where you can be yourself.

And it doesn't have to be just the everyday public part of you that you show at work, or the side of you that comes out around your family, or the bit that you keep for your old school friends. Self-expression is whatever you feel comfortable with. In an environment where you're not being judged and where your contribution - whatever it may be - is valued, you may find that you feel comfortable with an awful lot.

Let's face it, in everyday life there aren't that many opportunities to follow your wildest impulses, take chances, and try out different sides of yourself. Nowhere aims to be an event where all this is possible. The flip side to this freedom, of course, is that you need to do your part to foster a spirit of acceptance and encourage others to feel comfortable and respected. It all sounds rather idyllic, but it relies on you, the participant, to make it work.

There are countless ways to express yourself at Nowhere. Here are a few ideas:

• Make use of the costume camp
• Put on a performance or workshop
• Cook for someone
• Mix cocktails
• Give a massage
• Read a story
• Create an art project
• Write a postcard
• Dance
• DJ
• Talk to someone you don't know yet
• Appreciate the view
