PURPOSE/SUMMARY

To support Nowhere organisation with guidance on volunteer relations, policies & procedures, and training & development. To oversee admin functions including the creation and maintenance of role descriptions, handbooks & welcome packs, and onboarding of crew.  

DUTIES/TASKS:

Pre-Event 

  • Review and update polices such as volunteer codes of conduct, leads expectations and standards, health and safety, etc 
  • Create and maintain welcome packs, handbooks, role descriptions, and working manuals 
  • Analyse training needs in conjunction with department leads
  • Ensure all leads and volunteers are kept up to date with changes to policies, working practices
  • Provide guidance and support on conflict resolution among volunteers according to established procedures and develop procedures where necessary
  • Promote volunteering for Nowhere and Nowhere as an organisation
  • Promote the principles and culture of Nowhere
  • Participate in any other planning meetings relevant to your role

On-Site

  • Ensure that volunteers work in safe, healthy, and supportive environment
  • Assist with volunteer registration and coordination as and when needed
  • Participate in any on-site meetings relevant to your role
  • Carry out any site management shift as agreed 

Post-Event

  • Review and update role descriptions, working manuals, and welcome packs as apporpriate
  • Contribute to post nowhere debrief on what worked, what can be improved, and planning for the next year
  • Provide feedback and highlight any areas that may need review or improvement
  • Participate in any all lead meetings for debriefing as required
