LNT Volunteers Coordinator

PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Help the LNT department to recruit the volunteers needed to staff the W&RZone,Trash Pandas, MOOP sweepers and Build and Strike volunteers. You do this with the help of FIST, Nowhere its shiny online volunteer system and our Nowhere LNT Facebook page while working together with the various LNT leads.

You make sure that all volunteers receive an e-mail pre-event that provides adequate information, so they know what is expected of them.

Post event make sure that all volunteers receive a thank you note and the LNT @Nowhere census.

Tasks & Time Commitment 

This is a year-round role, which means we need your help to plan, deliver and evaluate LNT’s Volunteer recruitment and communication. As the event gets closer, there will be more tasks to do for each team. 

The expected time commitment pre-event from February to June is 1 to 5 hour per week on average. 

No tasks during the event.

Post event time commitment is a total of roughly 20 hours between August and October up to what you want to put into it and together help and improve Nowhere.

These are the tasks you will be getting involved in; 

Pre-Event February-June

• Create Rota on Fist for the various LNT recruitment needs (WaRriors, De-Moopers, Trash Pandas)
• Send orientation e-mails to every volunteer. 
• Liaise with LNT Comms Lead to recruit volunteers for LNT
• Think about ways to appreciate volunteers and say thank you to them after/during their shifts.
• Participate in any planning meetings relevant to your role.

On-Site

• Participate in LNT Team infamous Champagne party.

Post-Event

• Create a census to get feedback from volunteers. 

• Provide feedback and highlight any areas that may need review or improvement.
• Feedback in all leads post Nowhere Report
• Participate in any all-lead meetings for debriefing when asked (including the ALM. Which is fun)
• Advise Meta Lead of any budget requirements for next year.
