Ticket | Lead

PURPOSE/SUMMARY

This is an exciting and critical role. Your job is to manage all aspects of the ticket sales for Nowhere. You will work closely with the finance meta-lead and the directors to ensure that as many tickets are sold as possible, while keeping the issues and drama as low as possible. There are a number of systems and practises in place that make this fairly easy and straightforward.

Tasks & Time Commitment 

Responsibilities:

  • Decide which ticketing platform to use
  • Help directors calculate the event’s ticket price and pricing levels
  • Set up the event on the ticketing platform
  • Allocate presale codes to volunteers and barrio’s
  • Assist the low-income team where needed
  • Manage the annual timeline of the main sale
  • Co-ordinate with the Early Entry lead
  • Co-ordinate between low-income, early entry, art and meta leads to ensure everyone is aware of the ticket timeline

Timeline (based on our attempt to start ticket sale on October to help with our liquidity and budget forecast)

  • September: Calculate ticket prices and levels to match the budget
  • ? October: Advertise the low-income application process
  • ? October: Allocate all volunteer and barrio presale codes
  • December: Close low-income applications 
  • January: Allocate all successful low-income codes
  • October: Main ticket sales
  • Ongoing: Respond to email queries.
  • Enable STEP once sold out.
  • March: start the Early Entry allocation system for Norg
  • April EE Barrios  (how many barrio members have EE)
  • March : Expiring date LI ticket codes
  • 24-30 June: Hand over daily ticket lists to Gate Tech
  • 1 July: (Sunday before event) Shut down ticket sales and hand final ticket list to Gate Tech
  • 1-3 July: Be on call to deal with any ticket issues raised at gate
  • 14 July: Ensure all ticket funds are transferred to the event bank account
  • 14 July: Prepare post-event report
